Entry 2: Strangeness

So one of the first dreams this week was sort of okay, but there were some moments when even in the dream I went 'wtf?' lol So I was at an anime convention with my cousin Amy, who never comes with to conventions but she keep showing up in the dreams with them in. And we're at the hotel that the convention is in, but she suddenly gets sick, as in really sick, and runs to the bathroom the minute we get in our room. this is like a 5 star hotel too, so the rooms were amazing, but not after the smell of someone being sick. but then i suggested that she take a nap while i go register, which she agrees to. so i go to the convention hall, and there are rooms where interviews are taking place. one of them had kalafina and yuki in them, of course. heh so i go up to the door quietly to listen in, and for some reason i could understand them, but it was like they were talking in english and japanese at the same time. so the three girls were talking about an upcoming single, but they said that they had a new name, they just dropped the K so it was Alafina, which I thought was weird. but then i couldn't listen anymore since the security guard came up to the door and shooed me away. so i went to register and then came back to the room and there was this strange band in the hallway... and that's when i woke up.

the second strange one i had was i was home from the arcade and river bend, but then paul came home too. and i saw him come in and asked him 'shouldn't u be working?' and his eyes were all red like he had been yelling or crying or something, and he huffed and went up stairs, stomping up them. then i knew that he and Niwa (this kid that comes in a lot) were having a fight, about what i don't know. but then the phone rings and i answer it, and it's Niwa saying that he's looking after the arcade while paul cools off. so i go 'aren't you guys fighting?' niwa said yes but that paul trusted him enough to watch the arcade. i don't know where my mom was at the this time but i think my dad was home. and our house was kind of different in the dream too. i think i went out to the arcade or something, i woke up shortly after. o.O

the last one (well the last one i'll post heh) was last night actually. i had come home from river bend but i had to get dinner for myself for some reason, since dad had an errand to run and mom had already eaten, i think paul did too or something. so i went to the mall since i felt like chinese, and this was when they still had the really good chinese place. so i get there and they're just closing the doors and turning out the lights to the mall, but i was still able to get inside the restaurant somehow, since i saw people eating still, and i bring this up to the host and he said no, we're closing after they're done. so I sigh and start to leave when i hear the chef in the back yelling and throwing things. so somehow i get past the host, or he leaves or something, and i go up to the bar area and the chef comes out and this traveler is sitting at the bar and says something like 'i know you're closing but can i get a beef bowl since i traveled from a long way.' so the chef sighs and asks what i want, and i say the same thing. the beef bowl was good, made me want chinese today. heh but i woke up when i was driving home in the dark.

Dreams

I have decided to make this a dream log, instead of a blog where I just post random things. (I have too many other sites for that. heh) But here I will post my dreams if I remember them.

Last night's was kind of good actually. (I have very very strange dreams usually.) It was kind of a Pushing Daisies dream, where I was at the Pie Hole. heh Ned was there of course, I think Chuck was too. I don't remember exactly what happened except that I pretty much stuck with Ned the entire time. :P And there was a kitty there too! He was sooo cute. Chuck named him Quazie, to reference the episode with the cup-pies. lol It was funny. I woke up and sighed, wanting to go back to the dream. I hate that when I wake up and it's not even time to get up yet, and then I realize I had a good dream, and I can't go back to sleep for very long. Maybe it will continue tonight, since I have been watching PD a lot. :P I hope so. Well, that's all for now. More weirdness to come, I promise. Ja!

Meh.. Bioshock 2!

So these last couple of weeks have been kind of meh. Nothing exciting happening, and Thursday, or half of it was bad. Well, it started off with me forgetting the keys to the store, so I had to go all the way back home. And then I couldn't get my computer to work on the Internet there for some reason, even though I had an ethernet cable. Grr. And then to top things off I didn't get to see Supernatural because the dvr only recorded a minute, because Bones went over the time it was supposed to. but amy and i watched a different episode instead, so it was all good. :P Today has been fun. Drove to my friend sara's apartment and then we went to Chili's. I got a little turned around since I was following her, but it worked out. I didn't get lost on the way back either. heh I'm excited too since I'm going to Vegas in less than a month! Woohoo! Hopefully I'll win some money.

And Bioshock 2 comes out on Tues. It will be a grand day. I'm also seeing The Lovely Bones with Kay, so I won't get to play it much until at night. And Wed. I have a background check to fill out at Riverbend and then I'll start volunteering there. yay! I'll actually be doing something. heh I went for an interview but didn't get the job, but at least this is something. I really want to move out and get a kitten. But we'll see. I could save a lot and move out then. Sigh. Well, the site is nice and updated, and might get moved to Wordpress tomorrow. we'll see. Have a great weekend, don't party too much for the Superbowl. (I'm not... yeah, I know, boring. :P)

it's been awhile, hikari no senritsu review

hey there blog, I had forgotten about u for awhile. sorry, i have been busy these past couple of weeks. it seems to have flown by and now january is almost over. (i sound old lol) but i got Hikari no Senritsu yesterday and have been listening to it a lot. I watched the PV of it last night, it's beautiful. the song itself seems a little confused, like the flute part, but then the guitar part afterwards is amazing, if u listen to the instrumental version or very closely to the vocal. i love that part of the singing too, when it's different from the rest of the song. it's flowing and bouncy, and overall a good song to hum and sing, even in the shower (not that i do that though ). Sapphire is lovely. very melancholy and heartful. it makes me want to cry almost it's so pretty. i can actually play it on the violin and i don't suck at it completely. i may have my teacher transcribe it to a score, which would be awesome. the song reminds me of Lilium from Elfen Lied, which is also a beautiful song. overall i like the single, just not as much as others.

in other news work has been slow. it was sooo boring there yesterday, i drew at least, and used the internet on my brother's new net book. it's cute, and kind of cool, but the screen and keyboard are too small for me. but i have been drawing a lot, so that's good i guess. i'm doing a major update on the site today, hopefully. i've also been watching Farscape, so that's been taking up a lot of my time too. heh such an awesome show. and bayonetta is hard, but much fun. bioshock 2 in a couple of weeks! squee! should be awesome, i payed it off already, so i'm happy for that. this weekend should be fun. seeing my friend Kay and then going to a hockey game. last sunday i went to my sister's to see the new ferret shelter. there were 90 ferrets at the old place, and it was really tiny and cramped in there. this place is pretty big, so it won't smell quite as bad. i like ferrets, but not as much as kitties. lol well, going to get back to writing. i will try and update the blog more. have a good week!

Happy New Year, a bit late :)

My New Year's eve was good, well, it was hard at first because it was the funeral, but afterwards we went to Infiseno's restaurant for lunch/dinner. then my cousin came at night and we watched johnny english and other things. so that was fun. new year's day was good too, since i learned how to bake my favorite chocolate cookies. it wasn't that hard, actually. i may bake more in the future. heh but basically i went to lunch with mom and tried to get different boots, but they didn't have my size. we also worked on the puzzle of a 3D violin that we started. yesterday we actually baked the cookies and watched house. i ordered pizza for dinner since my parents went out and played mario. i tried to write, but couldn't. i have writer's block. grr. but at least i've been drawing a lot more lately. i still have 2 more of the galaxy angels to draw. i don't think i'll do galaxy angel rune, maybe one or two from there. i don't know. i still have my series and the angel series to work on. so i'll be busy for awhile. today is lost world, fat jack's and the hockey game. so it should be fun. hope everyone's having a great new year so far. party on.

Assassin's Creed 2! Stuff

So I got Assassin's Creed 2 this last Tuesday. And needless to say, it is amazing. the details are so vivid, they got the cities really accurate. I guess it wouldn't have been as good if it wasn't. heh but I just love looking at the cities while playing, they're so pretty. this time around now you can swim, with Ezio's character, so that makes it even more fun. He also has new moves and new weapons, like a pistol and smoke bombs for escaping. you can also climb higher too, which is nice. the music in the game is also amazing. i had to buy the soundtrack off of itunes, since i did not get the special edition that came with it. the figure looked awesome as well, but i didn't have enough money to get that version at the time. oh well. i've been listening to the soundtrack when not playing the game pretty much for the last 2 days. as you can probably tell by now, i love the game. i'm going to be playing it for a long time, i'm sure, since it's a lot longer than the first one. plus with all the stuff you can get in it, it should keep me busy for some time. heh but there's my review of it so far. :)

in other news, i have an interview on monday, with a place called Alpha Homes. should be interesting. it's only for a parttime position, but hey, it's something. i hope to get it so i can save from that job and the arcade and move out and get a kitty. i really really want one. i get so jealous looking on the lolcats site, at other peoples' cats. i wish i was allowed. well, in other news, i've actually been updating regularly, so keep checking the site. and please remember to sign up for the forums. well, have a good weekend. ja ne!

The webcomic is finally done and up! http://www.coarselimely.com/. Please support it, it is drawn by my friend Jimbo and the story is by my brother, it is awesome. If you like fantasy/adventure/pie/video games then you will love this comic. Enjoy. (I also helped designed the site with the help of my friend Shaf.) (It only works for Internet Explorer and Safari users now, but hopefully will be running for FF and Opera ones soon.)

So this past weekend went like this. Friday was good, played assassin's creed for most of it. until come sat then it came up with a lovely blue box saying that the disc was unreadable. and it was right when i was going to collect all of the flags in one of the cities. so i tried doing what the box said: clean it with a cloth and restart the console. didn't work. then i asked my brother to bring home the cleaning solution on sat. i had decided to get Shadow Complex on live arcade, which is really good. but then he cleaned it and it worked, for the time being. i'm near the end of the game, so hopefully i'll be able to beat it before it comes up with that again. still, it made me mad. SC is great so far. it's very pretty, and it has auto-target, which is very very good otherwise the controls would be like Too Human, where u kind of have to guess when shooting in another direction. but the other controls are good. the music is great, the voice acting... meh. Sat. was good since i got to see lisa and raena. sunday was happy again since my game was fixed, but i was trying to figure out the webcomic above, so it was a little frustrating. but not as bad as monday night was, i was ready to cry. nothing was working for me, and i couldn't understand why. that always frustrates me. but it's up now, so go read it, now! I command you! lol

in other news i got Natalie Imbruglia's new cd: Come to Life on monday, so I will give a short review. Twenty is by far my favorite song on the cd, and possibly my fave one by her, but I haven't heard it enough times. heh it's soooo good. the other songs are okay. i love Scars more and more each time I listen to it and it reminds me of Torn. Want and Wild About It are okay, and WYUT is growing on me. Fun and All the Roses are among my faves too, since they are the most meaningful to me. My God is great, i loved the song since i got it from the forums (shhh, don't tell. heh). So go buy the cd now if you haven't already. she is my favorite english singer. well, not much going on besides that. as for art, i should have new stuff up tomorrow, hopefully. (well, today. almost 1 a.m. now.) i've been reading a lot more since i have Kathy Reichs' new book from the library that i need to return soon. but i promise new stuff soon! more on shadow complex later. ja!

Stuffs

So I haven't updated the old blog for awhile. Probably because I've had so much other stuff to update. heh I just updated the site majorly. Now there's a forum (please check it out) and a background! :) I am very pleased with it, since it is by my dear friend, Wolf in the Walls. She is awesome. heh But i've been good. been getting a lot of good stuff. Just finished watching the When They Cry anime. Wow was that disturbing. I knew it would be, since I've read 3 of the manga already, but still. Some of the things they did in the show were just too gross. But it was a good show. lol I also finished Clannad After Story, which made me cry like a baby. Although not as much as I thought it was going to. Now my current obsession is Supernatural. Dean is the best character ever! He's awesome. Sam is... meh. He's a wuss, and too whiny. But Dean... *swoon* :P If I ever met him, I don't know what I would say. Kind of like Michael Shanks from sg-1. hehe. But I thank my cousin Amy for getting me into the show. (It was on the WB, so I had my doubts at first, even though I used to like One Tree Hill. Used to.)

But my recent adventure was going to Germantown for this meeting about being a sales agent. yeah, as in insurance. I didn't know until I got there that it was going to be that way, since the lady who called me said it was for an admin position, but oh well. It was interesting, and the guy was nice. But my brother drove at least, since it was kind of far. we had fun making fun of my gps. (Skully) But I am still applying for other jobs, haven't gotten called yet. Fingers crossed.

Well, I'm waiting now for Dead Space Extraction on Tues, and my 2nd Pandora Hearts soundtrack by Yuki (of course) and the 3rd Kara no Kyoukai movie and soundtrack. So lots of good stuff this week. And more shows! Stargate starts! I just put up all of my box sets for sale so I can get the huge collection. It will be awesome. Hopefully lots of ppl will bid. I finally sold all of my Pokemon cards over the last week. That was fun. I love Ebay. hehe Well, going to go out to eat soon with my friend Kay and then play some Wii Sports Resort. So have a good week, I will try and update more often. ja!

some song reviews, other things

I've gotten a ton of music recently. so here are a bunch of songs reviews, but with one line or a few lines. heh

Yuki Kajiura: M12 from the 6th Kara no Kyoukai movie: this song is brilliant, it's the new battle theme, and as always, spectacular. I love Yuki, and this is one of the best soundtracks out of the series.

Kenji Kawaii: 0-Raiser from Gundam 00. This is my favorite song from this series. it's awesome. my brother likes strike more, but i prefer this one, it's a battle song, which is always good. it fits well with the battle scenes in the show as well.

Say Yes! from Bubblegum Crisis. This song always gets stuck in my head, as does most of the music from that show. it's awesome, and pretty. heh

Holly Williams: Let Her Go from her new cd: Here with Me. This song is really pretty. She's considered country, but if anyone likes soft rock too, you will like her. i just love the melody of the song, it's so flowing.

Break the Silence from Yozakura Quartet: This song is one of the few really outstanding ones from the series, and it's bouncy and has a nice beat. it's somewhat haunting as well.

so, i've been trying to not get sick again like thurs. blah, that was awful. although my back has been hurting a lot lately, as in blinding pain, not just a little sore. and i haven't even been playing a lot of wii sports. so i don't know why. but my weekend was good. friday i didn't do much. went to the mall to give my brother a break, and then violin. then basically updated stuff and played games. sat. i went shopping with mom and got a really fuzzy sweater to wear at work for when the air is on. and i got the other when they cry manga and a new sketchbook. i am getting low on the one wolfy gave me. heh and i'm using it for the comic, so that will take up some room. i should draw more with the tablet, but i find i like the sketchbook more. sat. night i went to raena's for a party. that was fun. didn't stay too late though. sunday was a lazy day after church again. yesterday was the same way after work. did not do much. today i went to cold stone to celebrate my cousin getting a job. now only i need one. heh i did apply for a correctional facility in sturtevant. that might be interesting, if i get it. i also got the new imogen heap and holly williams cds today. very good. the holly williams one is better though. well, going to go update other stuff. keep looking for more stuff. ja!-Liana Ilia

Not much happening

So I haven't blogged in awhile, probably because there hasn't been much to blog about. heh I wish I could say my life was really interesting right now, but it's not. Still looking for a full time job, got turned down by 2 positions. Been working at the arcade, it's actually been busier than normal, which is good. Well, I had to work yesterday instead of Tues. since i had a doctor's appointment. At which I found out I was fine. I knew that already, although I do have problems which I do not wish to share with the rest of the world. So yeah... real interesting.

But I have Wii Sports Resort now. It's a lot of fun. It can be tiring too. lol the swordfighting and other sword games are great, so are the frisbee ones. My favorite is archery. i can't wait until next Sat. when I can try it again for real at Ren Faire. (I've tried it before and it's hard, a lot harder than the wii version. heh) it's of course more fun to play with other people, but single player is fun too. :)

I finished XFiles, it was an okay ending. Kind of meh. I love the series though. I have to get it soon. I'm selling my Battlestar seasons (only had 1 and 2 anyways) to get the full box set. So after that I will get XFiles. I've been doing well with ebay auctions (username lianailia). I love ebay. heh

other than that not much else is going on. i just did a major update of the site and it may have a background very soon, if i get the dragon in the mail. :) (no, not an actual dragon lol) but we'll see. well, have a great rest of the weekend! ja!

Not Too Much to Report Today

i have been drawing a lot lately. i've been getting a lot of inspiration from smoke & mirrors, by neil gaiman. very good book. I'm about half way through it now. there might be more art up later, going to draw after this post. i'm at work now, so i don't know how busy it will be later. but yeah... i've also been writing too! which i usually am either writing or drawing, not both at the same time. lol but that's a good thing i guess. the last couple of day i haven't been feeling all that well, allergies have been a pain. and major headaches don't help. i don't have one today so far. i probably just jinxed it though. heh yesterday was fun though, got to go to Cold Stone with amy. always good. the girl working gave me way too much ice cream when i only asked for a like it container. i didn't say chocolate loud enough or something. but it was fine. i was going to get kaze no stigma, but it was $50, i think i'll get romeo and juliet first next week. i really want that show. i finally got the final dvd of Tactics. it was a good show. i still say kantaro and haruka are just really good friends... really good... i like haruka! (yes that is a guy's name) and raiko. mmmmm. but the ending was kind of meh. it was a good ending, just leading up to it was weird. and i'm watching a show right now called ninja nonsense. it's like if jubei-chan (the show) was on crack... it's just strange. i love that nana mizuki does the voice of the main character. she's awesome. i should probably go watch the front now, since there are ppl here. look later for art maybe. ja! -Shadow Lies Within

Hello all!

Hello, how is everyone? I hope you are liking the new site. Well, the old site but redisigned! :) I am very proud of it. Hopefully there will be a background soon! My friend just ordered the power supply for her computer, so it should be soon. I have had a good couple of days off here, mainly playing games. I love Cubivore. I admit it. lol It's very very very strange, but fun. You get raw meat! heh (You have to play the game to understand.) And today I discovered Meowcenaries, on Adult Swim. It is hilarious. I am going to go play more after I am done with this post. You are four cats, and you go around killing other bad cats. And you speak lolcats! It's great. (I know, I'm evil.) I love the games on that website. 5 Mins to Kill Yourself is also another good one. I've also been trying to finish Dead Space, but no luck there. And I started Super Paper Mario and am almost done with that. (I have beaten it before I'm just replaying it.) Such a fun game. I love the mini arcade games, Memory and Boo shooting. Well, not much else going on in my life. Still looking for a job. heh I hope I find one soon so I can move out and get a kitty. I really really want one. But i'll have to wait awhile. I am excited for tomorrow since it's Father's Day and we'll be going out to eat. And paul and I are going to Lost World. I haven't been there in awhile, so I'm excited. I can't spend too much, since I've already spent a lot this week. I got the rest of D.Gray-man, very good show. and I got the manga: Higurashi, When they Cry. Very creepy and good manga. Almost as creepy as Boogiepop. heh It's disturbing. *shutters* I also preordered the Pandora Hearts soundtrack, composed by Yuki of course! I can't wait to get more music by her. And my Kalafina single will be coming too. yay! Okay, i will calm down. now to go eat cheezburgers and rescue hostages! lol ja!

Site anniversary!

Welcome to Dragons’ World Kanasi! The fabulous site that I created, and mostly did myself. It’s been running for more than a year, but I had it on Angelfire before. Blah. Now it is a .com! It’s been so for a year today! Please help celebrating by either posting a comment on this blog, or in the guestbook. I would appreciate it!

I am very excited that today is my site anniversary. I will hopefully blog more often, but once I get a full time job (which isn’t going to be soon probably heh) I may not have as much time. But I’ll still try. Hehe My life has been all right though. Had a graduation party recently. That was pretty fun. And graduation itself was nice. (It was hot in the auditorium, but other than that it was a good ceremony, I didn’t trip! Woot!) Once I got back from Boston I ordered a bunch of stuff, Battle Angel Alita (the 1st series heh), Angela Aki cd: Answer, which is very good, got it today, and Kanon vol. 6 dvd, the ending was all right. And I also ordered Kara no Kyoukai (the Garden of Sinners) dvd, but it’s the 2nd movie, and there are no subtitles, but I bought it for the soundtrack. Since Yuki Kajiura is a genius, and I want all of the KnK soundtracks. I’m getting it tomorrow, so I am very happy about that. I accidently hit the express mail, because it was from the Japanese Amazon site. Oops. But I wanted it sooner, so it’s good. Heh.

Not too much else has been going on. My brother is all moved into the house. So Jimbo had to come to the house this time for game night Sunday night. That was kind of weird, but cool. I won in Smash Bros, which is always fun. I also went to my cousin Rebecca’s wedding shower Sunday. It was nice. I won a prize in bingo, it was a weird tea cup plate, but still, I usually don’t win. Heh It was nice to see family again. Well, hope you browse the site more today, and don’t forget to comment! I will post again soon, and I will have more updates, of course. Ja ne!

Anime Boston Report

I will try and report as sufficiently as possible, but keep in mind that I lack sleep and ache all over, so it may be difficult to recall things. Here we go.

Thursday: Left early in the morning for Boston, got in before noon. We got to the Oasis Guest House all right, after flagging down the shuttle. Then we decided to find the convention center so that we could get in line later to get our badges. Lunch consisted of Qdoba. Then we organized stuff and got in line for badges. Met a cool girl named Rachel in line, there were some annoying ones behind us, singing Disney and Sailor Moon songs. Ugh. Then we had dinner at Legal Seafoods with Colleen (spelling Kerahna?) and Theo from the Yuki forums. That was pretty much Thursday.

Friday: 1st Day of con. Woke around 9:30 a.m. Put on costumes. Basically Lisa and I ran around taking pics until the dealer's hall was open. We also went to Artist's Alley, where Lisa found her brother's fave artist and gave her apples and tea, since she liked them. And her brother got to talk to the artist over the phone. So that was cool. we wandered around there and headed for the dealer's hall. It was pretty crowded the 1st day, of course. There weren't any music vendors besides the Kalafina booth, which kind of sucked, but I did get the latest Negima manga. then at 2 I went to the Kalafina panel and Lisa went Karaoking. The panel was great. I wish I could have taken pics. Someone asked if they knew English or if they had learned it for the con and Hikaru (or Keiko...) said 'a little.' Heh. They started showing the wrong video for the introduction, which I thought was funny. And the mics kept going out. But it was still awesome to be in the same room as them. Then we headed to the food court in the mall for some Boston Chowda. Mmm nom nom nom. Then the screening of Kara no Kyoukai (The Garden of Sinners) Paradox Paradym. It was... confusing. Heh It was the 5th movie of the series, so we were all confused. Yuki and Kalafina introduced it though. Then we went back to the room.

Saturday: 2nd Day. We were both really tired, but i was excited for the concert and autogrphs. We basically wandered around until 1, then got in line for the concert. It was amazing. To say the least. A video game orchestra opened for Kalafina. That was pretty damn cool. They played songs from Final Fantasy, (2 Cloud cosplayers fought in front of the stage. Win.) Silent Hill, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Halo & Metal Gear (ew!). But then there was an AMV which was pretty funny. And Kalafina came on. Wow... They sang beautifully. You could tell they were nervous. Hehe. But overall they did a great job. They sang to the background of the songs. Then everyone started leaving and they came back on the stage and introduced Yuki (in English heh), and she played on the keyboard: Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete yuku and Gloria while Kalafina sang of course. I can't describe how utterly amazing it was. Then the concert ended and I pretty much ran to the autograph line, where I talked to a nice guy. Lisa went to the Masquerade. I got a ticket since i had merchandise to sign. Hikaru (I think it was her, whomever was on the end) knew I was Lina Inverse when I told her. She said 'Oh yeah, Slayers!' I was spazzing. I couldn't say 'I love you' to Yuki. I just said thank you (should have been arigatou, but oh well). It was great to finally meet them, Yuki most of all. I still can't believe it. Hehe Then we shopped more and had dinner.

Sunday: Last day :(. No costumes. We checked out after breakfast. we were able to leave our bags at the hotel. Then we shopped until 1 or so. I got Code Geass Vol 3 dvd, Battle Angel Alita manga 1 & 2, and Shaf's present, since it Thurs is his bday. And I found cool Firefly shirts for Allison and Tony and myself. Lisa found a few shirts too. We had an afternoon snack of Boston Chowda, and headed to the Karaoke room, where the Gekiganger 3, Haruhi, and Excel Saga (The menchi song!) were sung. It was pretty great. Lisa didn't get to sing, unfortunately. But we had a pic with Colleen and Theo and the other forum ppl again. Then we went back to the hotel until we called the shuttle to take us back. The flgiht was very nice. We got free cookies! Heh We met up with Lisa's ride, and mom and dad, since they were getting in at the same time. and that was the end of the trip.

it was very very very good, but exhausting.today i had to work, it was all right. we weren't really busy, since it was a holiday. but there is a new game: guitar hero. i sucked at yellow by coldplay. lol i'll try it again though. i don't really like that game though. it's still cool as an arcade game though. the plan for today besides sleep: clean up room, watch bleach (on the big screen tv! it will be in the house by the end of the day!) and pic up prints of pics that i had done at cvs. then go to bed early. okay... need to stop typing. i will have stuff up that i drew on the trip. enjoy! ja!-Lina

Things that have been happening

I have been busy, which is why I haven't updated the blog. I've been working on the arcade website, even though now it's pretty much the way it was before, only improved. (Thanks again Shaf!) But I have been taking pictures and whatnot. And work has been actually busy the last couple of weeks. Well, because of school being out. Summer will be busy this year.

I am also trying to get my costume made for Anime Boston! Only one more month, and I will be flying there. Oooo I can't wait. If anyone is going and wants to hang out before hand or during, let me know! I'm up to meeting new ppl who are interested in anime. And especially Yuki Kajiura, who is the whole reason I'm going. :) *listening to the Madlax ost as i write this* Such awesome stuff. I am going to be broke coming back, but hopefully will have a lot more music and good stuff. heh

Shows: They have been good lately. Heroes is still kind of meh. Dollhouse continues to not disappoint, and so does Bones (excpet for Angela, what is her problem? arrrg). I also got into Krod Mandoon, which is extremely funny. I like Krod a lot. hehe i hope it goes on for awhile. And I am excited that they are showing the last 3 episodes of Pushing Daisies next month! Yes, May will be a great month. (my birthday month! :)) *been watching Xfiles almost every night too, such an awesome awesome show*

I have finished Winged, so that is now on the site, and I have been working on a new layout for the site using Sharepoint 2007. So it will look really good come June. I will not give any details, you will just be surprised. It's going to take me awhile to organize stuff for it, so I'm glad it's not till June. There will defintely be pictures up before that from AB though. Well, I shall post soon. There will be more poems up today hopefully. If i get around to them. So, ja!

Updates

So I haven't posted in awhile. Turns out that "job" was a scam. Yeah, don't want to talk about it, so I will move on. In good news, I am going to Anime Boston in May, which will be fun because my friend is coming with and Yuki Kajiura, the most genius composer of all time, and Kalafina are going to be there. I am listening to them now actually. lol I got their cd the beginning of March. it's really really good. I could go on and on about Yuki. But since I have other things to talk about, I shall not. lol not that anyone's reading this... oh well.

Heroes: Has been good lately! yay! Lily from Pushing Daisies was in it on Monday. so that made me happy. (now if only Lee Pace could be in it. or Bones, or Dollhouse. lol) But it's been good, so I'm happy.
Dollhouse: last friday was supposed to be an "unforgetable night" for Dollhouse fans. My cousin and I watched it, and we didn't think it was all that great. i mean, yeah, i love the show dearly, but it wasn't so breathtaking that I had to keep it on my dvr. lol patton oswalt was in it, and eliza said 'porn!' really loud. so that was fun. other than that, not much else. (mmmm helo I miss Battlestar)
Battlestar: the ending was awesome. it was such a great way to end the series. except for madame president dying at the end, but at least she got to see Earth, so I was glad for that. it made me cry though. and when they flew galactica into the sun. poor ship.
Xfiles: loving it. started it from the beginning. I've seen a lot of it, just not all. teryl rothery was in the episode that i watched last night! hehe she was dr. frasier in sg-1. she was one of my favorite characters in that show. so it was cool.

well, not much else to say. i will have another post up soon. and keep looking for more updates! June 9th is the 1 year anniversary of my site! woot! I can't believe it's been that long already. well, it's been up for longer, but not using frontpage. lol well, hope to blog soon. oyasumi!

Training

Well, training for this job has been going well. Or rather, it’s going. lol I’ve had a couple of set backs, I had to open a new account at another bank, which was okay. And then yesterday I had a breakdown because he wants me to work mornings now. And it would have been nice if he had said it a few days in advance. I mean, I can quit the arcade at anytime, but I wanted to at least work until the training was over. Which I am still two days a week. But still… but I don’t want to talk about that anymore. Basically I’ve been researching and writing articles. I’m getting a new laptop for the job. So that should be good.

Other than that not much has been happening. Valentine’s Day was uneventful, except we went out to eat, and I got chocolate. Of course. heh I am getting the new Hinder cd. I started watching Dollhouse on Friday. It’s good. I like Eliza as an actress. I hated Faith in Buffy, but Tru Calling was awesome. Which this show is a little like it. She just has different personalities each day. That would be weird. lol And Heroes is finally getting good again! yay! I actually clapped last night after the show. Karen from One Tree Hill was in it! She’s a great actress, so that made me happy. (Still have to get season 5 of that show… meh.) But it’s good to see that it’s getting there. Not quite what season 1 was, but getting there. And battlestar is still awesome.

Hello all.

I have my blog back! Yay! I am very happy it’s working again. I hope it stays that way. Heh Things that have happened since Christmas, wow… let’s see. I got a job! Well, I think I did anyways. It’s a work at home position, and I’ll be doing everything that you do in an office, so it’s what I wanted. I hope to hear back from him tomorrow, otherwise I don’t know what’s happening. heh But other things, the arcade has been fine. We have Tekken 6 up and running on the big screen tv, so bring your friends, lots and lots of friends to play. lol I guess it’s been really busy since I worked on Thurs, so that’s good. Well, going to go draw on Masquerade. I’m finally working on the comic again. It’s looking great, better than the Sesilae one did. So I’m happy about that. I may also start writing short stories either on here or on dA. We’ll see how much time I’ll have to write. But I will update the blog every week, or every other week at least. There will be reviews and other things soon. Since shows have started over again, yay! Well, until next time, jaa!

Delta Goodrem: I love her music. She is an awesome singer, to say the least. She has cancer, which is a shame, since she is so beautiful, and has an amazing voice. If I could have even an ounce of her voice, that would be great. But go listen now. I found her using last.fm, which I have fun with too. When it works that is. (I recommend listening to ‘Innocent Eyes’ and ‘Not Me, Not I’ first.)

Other than that I have been playing with my iPod. Finally got some games for it, since I subscribed and got the App Store button. It’s fun. I like Tap Tap Revenge and the one with the marble. It amuses me, and I’m finally using it for things other than music. I still prefer it over any other device. Heh

I need to write more. I have a couple of poems up that are new, but I want to work on Masquerade and Winged. Midnight Shadows I put on hold for now. I want to concentrate on those stories first. Hopefully there will be more quotes from Masq. (abbreviation). I am hopefully going to finish my fic too. But we’ll see. Well, that’s it for now! Have a great Christmas, and I’ll post something soon! Eagle Eye, Futurama, Gears 2

Hello all, it's been awhile, hasn't it? Sorry, I've been occupied. I have a million other places i check every day, and I forget about this little blog, that no one seems to be reading, but oh well. Eagle Eye is good. If you want a good sci-fi movie that has Shia and Billy Bob Thorton (usually i would say blach, but he was good in this heh), then u will like it. Shia is getting better, and while I still don't like him like that, I can see why Olivia (from aots) has a crush on him. Heh. But go see it! And it has awesome music too! The composer for Constantine did the soundtrack, which is always great. Well, he worked with Klaus Baldet, but still. It's awesome. The Futurama movie was... eh. It made fun of Lord of the Rings too much, it was funny, but still. They're good movies and they shouldn't be made fun of in that way. I liked the story line and still love the series though, and wish it would go on forever. 'I made a blinding potion!' -Amy lol that was great. But yeah, excited! I am soooo excited for tomorrow night! Gears 2! Oh i can't wait. I want it right now. But no, I have to wait another 29 hours and 20 mins until i get it. no, I'm not counting...  nope! *jumps up and down* okay... i'll stop scaring ppl. But yeah, Obama is president. woopy. I don't really care as long as he doesn't mess things up. I was rooting for Mccain, but oh well, we can't all have our way. I wish ppl didn't need a leader, but then where would we be right now? Saturn? No, I don't really have a political side, that's my sister. I wish and didn't wish i did. It's complicated, I know. Well, going to go work on some art. so, jaa!

Pushing Daisies, can't wait for season 2!

Okay, since I haven't blogged about this show before, I am going to do it now.  I love this show. It's one of those where you could watch it over and over and over and still laugh and cry. It's that good. I just watched season 1 again (spoilers) and the last episode just kills me. I mean, I love Ned. He is my fave character. When he told Chuck about what happened to her dad and when she said that she had to be mad at him for awhile, he almost started crying. If he cries ever in the show, I will cry. He's a character that ur heart goes out to, that's what i wanted to do, give my heart to him. I know, it's just a show, i keep telling myself that. But it is awesome. and I don't know what Chris Gore (from AOTS) was talking about when he said that guys couldn't watch it, or that it was just for girls, because it's not. Yeah, it can be cheesy at times and sappy, but there's just the right amount of both of those. And it's supposed to be a little cheesy, since it has a unique way of filming and there is a British narrator (i don't have anything against it, i'm just saying, i like the narrator sometimes heh) but still! Everyone should watch this show. I just got my brother into it, and he really likes it. Now I have to get everyone else I know into it. Hehehe. It's a really well written show and it will break your heart into tiny pieces but it will also make you laugh until you fall on the floor. So please please watch it! I beg you, no, I command you! Go get season 1, or else!

The Force Unleashed

Yes, I finally have it, and I am very pleased. well, let's start off with the bad first, which there is a lot of in this game, but the good evens it out.
the camera: you control the camera with the D pad on the wii controller. which is okay, and most of the time it readjusts for you, but sometimes it's like in Too Human, where it goes behind you instead of in front of you, which it should always be. and when you're stuck in a corner or something it won't turn so you can jump out. or it just spins around until you get a chance to use the d pad to station it.
Voice acting: the characters are well thought out, i'll give it that. but the voice actors are average. the apprentice is terrible, sometimes he's really soft, other times he's really loud and annoying. juno (bad choice in names) is okay, and so is vader and proxy, but it's like they didn't even try with the Sith's voice. some of the other extras are okay i guess, but they should have done more work on that part.
Bosses: the main boss battles are cool, but the mini bosses are just bad. they can get stuck in a corner and you can just strike them with lightning over and over until they die. which is good, but come on, be a little more of a challenge!
I love the game though, it's pretty to look at but sometimes it feels more like a gamecube game. i loved that u played as vader right away, even though they didn't tell u what to do until later. heh the boss fights are cool where u have to flick either the nunchuck or the mote in a sequence in order to apply the final blow. or u can duel with lightning or the saber, by using either part of the mote. all in all i love it, and want to play more now, so i will have more on the game after i finish it, and tell you what i think of the ending, which hopefully won't be for awhile (unlike Too Human lol) give it a try for the Wii, don't listen to what other ppl say either, at least try it rent it first. that's all for now! jaaa!

One Tree Hill

This is the reason why I watched this show in the first place. Not the crappy season that was season 3. Sure, it had it's moments, but it just sucked. and 4 kind of did too. But this season is awesome. It's much more like 1 and 2. I loooove Nathan. He is the hottest guy in the show. Lucas I am liking again, since he chose Peyton, who is awesome, and one of my fave characters. I normally don't like high school dramas like this, but for some reason this show caught my attention. It has great writing, and acting, most of the time. Heh The only big problem I am having with it is that Skills (who was awesome) if now "dating" Nathan's mom, which is just gross and sick and evil. And they shouldn't have picked Carrie to be a psychopath. It just doesn't fit her personality. I never liked her in the first place, and i hate Dan with a passion, but still. he is getting what he deserves though. Heh I am evil, i know. I feel really bad for Brooke though. Never really liked her even in the beginning and when she was dating Lucas, but her mom is a royal biotch and should be slapped a few times. I'll have a whole blog about who should be slapped around or locked up later. :) *cough* Cameron *cough* Okay, that's for another blog and time. Off to gaming. Jaa!

Dreams

So, I've been having lots of strange dreams lately, where I've seen ppl that I've never met before, and it all happens in a place that has been in a previous dream. Monday's dream was like this. Where I was in like a concert hall type building, I think it was actually a casino, but I couldn't tell. But I was working there with my cousins, and they had told me to help the older customers in and get seated and so on. So I helped one guy, who looked about 80 or so, down the stairs. We got about half way down when he said he could make it the rest of the way, so he started waving to me for some reason, so I waved back, and when he went to turn around, he fell began to fall backwards. So I caught him with the opposite hand, but I couldn't hold my grip. He slipped and tumbled down the stairs like a rag doll. He was in a really weird position at the middle platform, and I started to panic, and I tried to help him, but I couldn't get him to even sit up right. As Laura was coming up to me and I was thinking of a place to bring him, I woke up. It was just really weird. And then a guy came to talk to me at the arcade who looked a lot like him... I had never seen him before. I woke up and went thank God that was a dream. Another weird dream that I don't remember much was I was taking care of an older lady and she had died, my friend Sara was there with me, and we didn't know what to do. It was creepy too, but I don't remember much about that one. I wonder why  I remember the really strange dreams. It's weird... last night I was almost afraid to go to sleep, since I knew I wouldn't dream anything pleasant. the last good dream I had was the one with Daniel from Sg-1 and Fred from Angel and they were dating, which was kind of funny. They would make a cute couple. heh. Well, Off to draw. I might do a blog soon that is more like a poem, I'm not sure. I've been feeling really creative lately with all the good music I've been getting. :) Well, until later, jaa!

why I have been absent

It's not so much as that I haven't had time to post on here, but it's just that I have FaceBook now, which is on my links page. It has been taking over my life, with Scramble, and dragons, and friends. :) But don't worry, I will not neglect my site. I always have time during AOTS. Hehe But yeah, Soul Calibur 4 has been taking up most of my time as well. I am getting really good online, I mean, I haven't beaten anyone since the other day, but I will tonight. I have beaten my brother a few times, which is always fun. You can customize characters, but the Tower is what is making most angry. I can't get past level 31-33. It's driving me crazy. A guy was a jerk to me last night, but he was an idiot. but i'm not letting that bother me. i am doing great, even though i have more losses than wins. heh my friend raena liked it too, how can u not, really? but she made a pink pirate. lol well, i am going to ren faire on sat, so i may not be around this weekend, but i'll try and update the site next week, i promise. i am writing more. and there will be a review of my new story: Masquerade which is coming in winter. i can't wait to start writing it, but i have to finish my other ones first. :P well, i'll update later. jaa!

Yes, that is what i was saying to my phone this morning. it took me about a half an hour to find it, and was giving me a slight heart attack. i can't live without my phone. i mean, i don't get a whole lot of calls, besides my friends, but what if there's an accident? i hope there never ever is, since i hate driving with other ppl on the road, but still. neways. the day got better. yesterday was fun. i woke up and got new yuki, specifically kalafina, which is awesome. they are one of my fave bands ever now. fictionjunction still my most fave. and i found a song from kara no kyoukai on friday that i've been listening a lot. and the soul calibur 4 music. oh i love that game. that's all i have been playing except i did play a little wii fit and smash bros. my fingers hurt right now. i am getting xbox live, tomorrow, so they will hurt even more. but oh well. i'll still come on to update stuff, of course. speaking of which, i now have facebook! i will add that to my profile after i'm done here. (posting that is) freakazoid is now on dvd! finally, hence the title. that episode is in season 2 i think. but awesome stuff. i miss watching it constantly on nickalodeon. 'think we said poo gas enough?' lol shuffle has turned depressing. sheesh. i still love the show, but it made my brother cry almost, which is rare. heh well, i am going to be going to his house soon. mike is coming over yay! i haven't seen him in a year. so i am excited. hopefully he'll still be there. well, going to go play more, check out my facebook page hope to see you there!

The Dark Knight

O.... M... G... Sooooooo freaking awesome! I love Batman Begins, and now I love this movie. It was truly amazing. I still can't believe that I saw it. I am still kind of out of it, but happy that I got to see it on opening weekend. They were sold out when we go there a half an hour before. We waited for about twenty mins before they let us in. Kids came out in bat suits, it was so much fun. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes Batman or just superheroes in general. Why wouldn't u like Batman? He is the best superhero ever. The new bat suit is a little weird, but I like the vision thing. (spoiler) heh it was a little hard to watch with the strobe lights, but other than that, awesome. I can't wait to go again with my brother. I went with my dad. He liked it, of course. i did not really like Aaron Eckhart before this, but he was great as Harvey Dent. He sounded a lot like the harvey/two face in the old cartoon show. Which is still my fave out of all of them. the new ones just aren't as good. But you definitely need to go see it. Now, if you haven't already. Okay... in other news, got really far in the tournament yesterday. heh i beat my own brother! it was fun. i lost after that though, which was disappointing, but oh well. Maybe i'll do even better next time. Well, we are heading out to eat soon, so I am going to have to end it here. But there should be more stuff on the site later. e3 2008

Here is where I will write about anything that is on my mind that I would want to share with everyone. I do have an insanejournal, but that isn't enough. I want to get my thoughts out, and this is the perfect place to do it, on my site. Hehe It's why I created it, well, and my stories and poems, of course. I hope you keep checking this site out and read what I have to say, although it may be boring at times, I'll try and be interesting all the time, but it sometimes doesn't work. We all have those times, don't we? Okay, for this week I am mainly going to talk about e3. It was an awesome week for games. Just tons of stuff covered on g4, which is an awesome channel btw, everyone should have it. I love that they do the whole week of demos and the press conferences. I am a gamer, so I want to know what's coming out and what's good. I am most excited about The Force Unleashed, Too Human (next month!), Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill Homecomming, Fallout 3 looks interesting, so does Dead Space. There are just waaaay too many games coming out, and that is always a good thing. Heh Too Human I played the demo for the other night, it is amazing! That is an understatement. Oh, Gears of War 2, how could I forget that one? ooooooh do I want it. Been playing the 1st one again, but I'll have to finish it before a week from Tues, when Soul Calibur 4 is out! I am probably going to play as Taki right away, until I unlock Darth Vader and Yoda. It will be an awesome game, to say the least. I have been playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the DS. Both are very good games. And I just beat Silent Hill 2 and 4, my brother didn't have the other two so I couldn't play them. I may rent them though, I don't have the Playstations systems, since I don't like Sony at all, but the games are still fun. Well, have to run. I have to exercise with Wii Fit tonight. It's pretty cool. Can't wait until the Rayman game comes out for the balance board, that should be fun. I am seeing Dark Knight on Saturday! I am sooooo excited, you have no idea. so I don't know when I'll be here, but keep looking! Jaaa!
